150 days before Christmas we created a large sand sculpture of Santa enjoying his holidays with a steam train on Whitby beach. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) commissioned us to mark the countdown to the heritage railways’ ‘Santa Specials’ event.

A much loved and popular festive event, the Santa Specials are an unforgettable journey through North Yorkshire aboard the decorated steam train, with elves, gifts, games and treats onboard.

Chris Price, General Manager at NYMR, said: “We love that families and groups from all over come to Yorkshire to experience this dazzling event.”

The sculpture created by Peter, Jamie and Claire wasn’t the easiest to make, with several collapses during the process, but they got there in the end, keeping their smiling elfish faces going throughout!
