We were contacted by Joe English Quad Rebuild’s chairman and asked to provide a live tabletop sand carve and sand workshops for their charities summer fair in Savile Park, a local park to us .
Quad Rebuild is a registered charity that provides much needed support for people suffering with spinal injuries after accidents. The charity was started by Joe himself, after a spinal injury that he acquired after a car accident, Joe saw first-hand the support needed personally and practically.
The Charity’s motto is REBUILDING LIVES, REBUILDING HOMES, REBUILDING YOUR IMAGE TO REBUILD YOUR FUTURE.
Joe wanted this event to be have a building theme so he had wood, stone, and sand carving at the event as well as lots of family friendly stalls and activities. We were very impressed with the amount of stuff they sorted for this launch event.
It was a two-day event on both Saturday and Sunday but we only attended the Saturday as we had another event to be at the next day. The day was lovely and dry and there were many families out enjoying themselves.
Jamie created a complex sandcastle which followed an accessible build theme, having no stairs and lots of lovely arches. The arches inspired children at the sand workshops to have a go with arch making themselves, much to Chris’s delight.
This event was for a fantastic charity and cause and we hope that Joe and his charity raised a lot of money from I, we look forward to seeing more from them in the future. Follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to keep up to date.
