We are absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! If you’ve been tuning into CBBC lately, you might have spotted a familiar face getting creative in the sand. Our very own Jamie Wardley recently made a special guest appearance on the brilliant kids’ arts and crafts show, Go Get Arty!

At Sand In Your Eye, we’re usually busy here there and everywhere carving giant sand sculptures, creating massive beach drawings, or sculpting ice. But there is nothing quite like getting back to the absolute classic: building an epic, towering sandcastle!
In Series 2, Episode 11 —Jamie grabbed his trusty buckets and spades to show viewers how to take a normal day at the beach and turn it into a magical masterpiece. He had an absolute blast sharing his top tips and tricks for packing the sand, carving out the turrets, and making a sandcastle that really stands out. The whole episode is packed with fantastic creative ideas for the family.

We always say that sand sculpting is one of the best forms of art because anyone can do it. All you need is sand, water, and a little bit of imagination. We hope Jamie’s appearance inspires the next generation of young artists to get out on the UK beaches this summer and build their own sandy creations.
