Anyone that’s grown up in Yorkshire knows Eureka – The National Children’s Museum. Many of our team have been there when they were kids and now they are taking their own own kids!

That’s why we were very excited when they got in touch to discuss housing some of our pre-carved Summer Holiday themed Sand Sculpture’s in their Halifax Museum during their summer holiday programme.

They chose to have the helter skelter, boy in a rubber ring, crab, seagull and VW campervan, hidden in secret places around the Museum. It was part of a little trail with competition for two weeks of the summer holiday’s.

Delivery and collection of a sand sculpture trail is a very delicate and difficult process. Some of our sculptures weigh upwards of 300kg and are also extremely fragile. We had a bit of a knock on the corner of the helter skelter on unloading which can be easily repaired, but otherwise they got away unscathed, thankfully.

Eureka were really pleased with the event, and the sculptures were enjoyed by all, adding a little something extra for the Summer Holidays.
