Sand Drawing, inspiring the Next Generation of Footballers

We were asked to create a sand portrait of women’s professional footballer Beth Mead. This was to celebrate her joining McDonalds Fun Football, McDonald’s Fun Football aims to give every child aged 5-11, from all backgrounds, genders and abilities, the opportunity to enjoy football sessions for free! 

Claire, Jamie, and Dave created the 50-meter portrait on Whitby Beach and Jamie’s Dad even turned up and helped do a bit of the raking. The whole team really enjoyed this day of sand drawing, and the weather was on their side. When the portrait was finished the team got lunch from Mr. Chips and finished off with a lovely lemon top ice cream whilst children played a bit of football on the beach which is shown in a wonderful short made by Fun Football UK.
