We love our trainers at Sand In Your Eye, but not as much as some folk! For the hardcore sneaker fans, this October JD Sports asked us to carve some pumpkin replicas of their most popular kicks for their Halloween social media channels.
They chose the classic Nike Air Max, which has been a favourite pair of creps worldwide for decades now. We made a 3D carved pumpkin in our studio in Yorkshire on the first day.
The next pumpkin carving on the books was the Adidas Originals Forum Low. These low slung daps grace the feet of many and now appear on this Halloween pumpkin.
Finally our professional pumpkin carvers set to work on the final pair of high-tops – the Jordan Point Lane. This special carved pumpkin was to be featured in a time lapse, all shot in our studio and edited together by Bezmond films. The film and images of all the sneaks carved were whizzed off to JD Sports who sent them out via social media to their army of sneakerhead followers who by all accounts loved this Halloween offering.
This is not the first time we have carved pumpkins for JD Sports. In 2015 we carved a replica pumpkin of the Nike Huarache and made a time lapse of the pumpkin carving at JD Sports HQ.
