It’s been hard for everybody during the Corona Virus pandemic, families have been separated and friends haven’t seen each other for months. Now that the sun is shining and restrictions are finally easing we’ve been glad to get back on the road doing what we do best – creating sand drawings and beach art on the beautiful UK coast.
Carex invited us to Blackpool to celebrate with a sand drawing and sand drawing workshops on the famous sands right in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower and north pier. Our team of sand artists; Dunc, Rich, Mark & Liisa created a 40 metre pair of hands with the legend “Back Together Safely”.
Beachgoers and families were the invited to pick up a rake and take part in sand drawing workshops and draw or write what or rather who they had missed most during lockdown.
The weather was beautiful with bright blue skies and lovely warm sunshine for the beach artists to create the giant piece of sand art and the beach was busy with keen holiday makers ready to take part in the workshops.
All our workshops take part in the fresh air and can be run along the current guidelines with social distancing, family bubbles and regular sanitising of equipment between users, along with a blob of Carex hand sanitiser – none of which stops the fun of making sand drawings. We think you’ll agree they did a fantastic job.
