When Huddersfield BID reached out to us to ask for ice carving for their Huddersfringe Fire & Ice Event, we knew we had to bring something spectacular. Set in the historic courtyard of the Lawrence Batley Theatre, the night was a highlight of the broader Huddersfringe Festival—a wild mix of everything from mind reading and swing music to comedy hypnosis.

Our mission? To provide the “Ice” to Fire Man Dave’s “Fire.” Whilst Fire Man Dave turned up the heat with a high-impact, jaw-dropping performance, our very own “Ice Man” Dave took to the stage for a race against the clock.

With a 60-minute countdown ticking away, he performed a live ice carve, transforming a frozen block into a stunning version of Terry the Terrier, the beloved Huddersfield Town mascot. To give the crowd even more to smile about, we also brought along a pre-carved, vibrant coloured ice block with the word HUDDS and a love heart—the perfect foreground for event selfies.

Despite the “hideous” British weather, the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd. The atmosphere was electric, and we loved every second of the coordination between the heat of the flames and the chill of the ice.

Wait, you can carve that in an hour? Yes! Our 1-hour live carves are a brand-new offering designed to bring fast-paced excitement to any event. There aren’t many people who can produce a masterpiece from ice in just 60 minutes, and we’re thrilled to bring that “wow factor” to the public.

A huge thank you to Huddersfield BID for having us—we can’t wait to work together again soon!
