Have you ever wanted to be transported to another world? This summer, you could be, because something magical has appeared high above the streets of Leeds City Centre.
We were thrilled when The Trinity invited us to be part of their enchanting Wonderland Trail, a fantastic family-friendly event running this summer. The mission? To create a show-stopping vinyl art piece for one of the trail’s key locations. The character? The mischievous, grinning Cheshire Cat. The canvas? The iconic Trinity Centre roof!
The Cat That Got the Cream
This wasn’t our first high-flying project with Trinity Leeds. We’ve produced several large-scale vinyl art installations on their roof, but this one really left us grinning. Our creative team designed a huge, vibrant Cheshire Cat, ready to emerge from the rooftops and captivate shoppers and trail-goers. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the power of bespoke vinyl graphics in creating immersive public art.
A Fearless Installation Team
A brilliant design is one thing, but bringing it to life several stories up requires a special kind of team. We were privileged to once again be directing the expert Trinity Roof installation team. Working at those towering heights, they are simply fearless, dedicated, and incredibly precise.
Under a tight deadline and weather implications, they pulled it out of the bag once again. Piece by piece, the rooftop vinyl was expertly applied, and as if by magic, the Cheshire Cat’s famous grin emerged from nothing. The final image was a stunning piece of visual magic that stopped people in their tracks, encouraging them to look up and smile.

An Immersive Wonderland for Everyone
This project wasn’t just a job for us; it was an adventure. Our team members, Jocasta and Peter, had a fantastic time on-site, overseeing the project and watching the public’s delighted reactions.
The experience was so enchanting that Jocasta even brought her own kids back to follow the Leeds Wonderland Trail themselves. Their verdict? It was “fantastic!” Seeing a project bring that much joy to families is the ultimate reward and reminds us why we love creating bold, imaginative public art installations.
We are incredibly proud of this collaboration and can’t wait to see what creative challenge the Trinity Leeds team sets for us next.
