For the Camping and Caravanning Club’s Summer issue, we worked together on Scarborough Beach to create a sand sculpture landscape and sand drawing.
The day before the event, Vicky and Ally came down to our new studio to show them what we do and get a few photos. It was lovely to show them around our new space and finalise the plans for the morning.
The next day we gathered the team made up of Jamie, Claire, Jo, James and Tom and headed to Scarborough Beach bright and early. Claire and James collected all the water and were delighted to meet Stuart and a bunch of willing volunteers! Claire, Tom and the Camping and Caravanning Club crew started digging to create the base for our sand campsite sand sculpture whilst the rest of the team got on with the 50 metre sand art.
Everyone was a great help making the sculpture so we showed them how to make tents for the foreground of the sculpture before finishing up then running a workshop for the public.
After the sculpture was finished we ran a sand sculpture workshop, where the public could join in the fun and add to our campsite, with tents, caravans, play areas and trees!
It was a great day in the sunshine and we are looking forward to reading their Summer issue and seeing the finished sand drawing! A big thanks to everyone at the Camping and Caravanning Club!
