Today we we’re on Filey Beach to make a sand drawing to raise awareness of The Fallen. For the Fallen we’re going to France to make 9000 silhouettes of fallen people on the D-Day landing beach of Arromanche to visually illustrate what happens in the absence of peace.
Today we made a 15 meter person surrounded by other Fallen and the image was finally washed away by the sea. It was forecast to rain like crazy but we were blessed with no rain whereas everywhere else it did rain. Photographs of the image should go to the papers and it will be viewed on Look North with a wonderful piece by Cathy Killick
The Fallen itself is going very well. We have a coach from Bradford, and there are still some places left if you want to get on it. It is £115 for waged folk and £55 for concessions and unwaged. There are also folk from as far as Finland coming and all over the UK. The French folk are expecting us also, most of us will be staying on a campsite and the locals are letting us use their community hall for HQ and a gathering afterwards. If you play an instrument then bring it!
We now have BBC The One Show, Look North and Coast covering the 21st
Cheerio for now!
