Between The Tides Festival Sand Sculpture Workshops

To help celebrate ‘Between The Tides’ Festival in August, we were asked to create a live Sand Sculpture plus 2 days of sand sculpture workshops in Redcar.

The workshops, ran from 11-5 were set up to accommodate 10 people, but they were so popular that at one point there were 25 sculpting. They were taught how to make dolphins on the first day which resulted in a beautiful pod of about 20, swimming through the sand.

Peter set to work on a giant hermit crab, Dave on an Octopus, whilst Ed tirelessly fetched buckets of sea water to facilitate. Everyone had a great day!
