It’s nearly Christmas and our elves are getting ready for the big day. One of the items on top of their to do list was to get down to Huddersfield town centre and get busy carving an ice post box at St George’s square outside the beautiful Victorian train station. This was part of the Christmas lights switch on event put on by Kirklees Council.
We have been making these festive ice sculptures for several years now and they are always popular in the lead up to Christmas. Once the elves had finished the ice carving, they swapped their helmets and chainsaws for more traditional elf costumes. They then invited the children of Huddersfield to write their letters to Father Christmas and post them inside the replica ice sculpture.
Once the sun went down, the Christmas lights went on and the ice post box began to sparkle! We had a great day ice sculpting and it was great to meet so many families, excited about the big day. We can live carve ice post boxes wherever your event is or we can make them in our studio in West Yorkshire and deliver them nationwide, we can even bring along some elves to help with the letter writing workshops and bring a bit of Christmas atmosphere with their smiles and dancing around.
